I'm happy that the Fates let me read this book, because I wasn't satisfied from the first one. And can I say that male point of views hits differently?

THE GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD

This book is basically A Touch of Darkness but told from Hades' point of view, but I prefer this one to the first one. Here, we get to know more about Hades, his day whenever they're not together with Persephone, how he rules his realm, how he hunts and punishes mortals who have sinned.

THE GODS AND GODDESSES

In the first book of Persephone, Hades, we know him as a man with few words, but here we get to know him deeply, all his fears, his doubts, and his love for Persephone. This book has more angst, and Hades is literally horny for half the book.

"You must not assume you know her mind just because you have fears. Those are your demons, Hades."

I absolutely enjoyed the banter between Hades, Hermes, and Hecate. Hermes literally serving us laughs, whenever he's in the scene, everything just feel so bright. One thing that really made me laugh is the part where Hades needs fashion advice because he doesn't know what to wear to a baking lesson slash date with Persephone. And Hermes teases him, earning a slap from Hades!

"I need your ... help," Hades said.

"I am dreaming." Hermes slapped his face.

"Hermes," Hades gritted out.

"No, no," he said, putting up his hands as if silencing him. He took a breath.

"Don't ruin this for me. I might be dreaming. But I'm about to live out my top five fantasies—" Hades slapped the god, who looked shocked.

I cannot forget about Hecate, because my goddess literally helped solve a problem that might lead us to more chapters. Whenever Hades is in doubt, Hecate's there to give him advice and make him realize a lot of things. I love it when she calls him 'idiot'!

"Let yourself be happy, Hades. You deserved Persephone."

We also get to meet more Greek gods and goddesses here, which didn't occur in the first book. Namely, Hephaestus, Zeus, Aprodite, Helion, Poseidon, and more.

In terms of Persephone, I like her more here than in the book that was told from her point of view. I did not feel the second embarrassment I suffered in the first book, maybe because it helped when Hades looked at it differently.

Hades' (probably) most favorite phrase, "fvcking fates," really made me laugh. It's a sign of his frustration because of Persephone.

ENJOYABLE ANE GREAT RETELLING

This is an enjoyable read that made me laugh, blush, and giggle. Lighthearted and funny, great romantic Greek retelling with various myths included.
