Series: Dirty Air Series #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Adult Romance
Language: English

Noah Slade is the best F1 racer in the world and also a son of a living legend in the same industry, which makes car racing part of his DNA. But instead of his parents' being supportive, they turn the other way. Growing up, he craved affection and support from his parents. He puts all his frustration into playing with women.

Noah's the type of guy you don't bring home to mom; he's the one you screw around with before you find a guy you finally take home to mom.

THE VLOGGER GIRL

Maya Alatorre is a new college graduate, Santiago's sister, and Noah's former rival turns out to be his teammate. Still undecided about what she wanted to do with her life, she agreed to accompany Santiago as he traveled the world and raced, and she also started a vlog to gain followers.

Santiago is protective of her sister and, knowing Noah's reputation with women, putting Maya and Noah together earns a No-No with Santi. Too bad you can't sway the heart.

Despite the fact that I know very little about F1 racing, I enjoy this book. Still, the author's writing style and knowledge of it make the story more immersive.

Noah and Maya's romance, banter, steamy moments, and chemisty earn a chef's kiss from me. Plus, the fact that Noah went to therapy to solve his personal issues and took a shot with Maya. That's very rare in the fictional world.

Noah was brave enough to cut his connections with his parents that didn't do much for him. And Maya and Santi's dialogues feel so homey to me. I think it's different when you have a protective brother.

I need to work through a ton of shit about my parents, relationships, and my issues with commitment.

But I have issues with it. Noah was supposed to be 30, and I was shocked when it was mentioned. I thought he was like 20-something. The way he acts and talks makes him sound like a teen or a young adult experiencing a quarter-life crisis. It's hard for me to imagine that he's 30!

Overall, it's a fun, refreshing, and captivating story. If the brother's rival/friend trope with sport and romance is your thing, Lauren Asher's debut novel will definitely suit your taste. I'm so excited to read the other books, especially Santi's story. I'm so curious about his life and who would be his girl.
